In case the doctor prescribes tests like potassium hydroxide tests for fungal infections, those would have to be paid separately.
However none of these costs are high that will prevent you from taking the treatment.
Yes. Radiofrequency or laser is an additional procedure undertaken in addition to nail surgery to remove or ablate the nail matrix. These additional steps prevent the nail from growing back. This step is especially undertaken in case of recurrent infections or other nail problems.
Nail surgery, when medically necessary, may be covered under insurance. Since these surgeries have both cosmetic and medical purposes, some insurance providers may ask for pre-authorization to give coverage. This administrative burden might be unnecessary for such a small procedure. In case of medical conditions requiring this surgery, we will give reimbursement documents that you can use to get your money reimbursed.
